Zoomies & Tussles: A Basenji Spring Fling in NYC! - New York City Basenji Meetup - 14 April 2024

Eight basenjis assembled on a wonderful spring morning in Washington Square Park in New York City. The action opens with Bronte (female, seven-months-old,) and today’s youngest, running and tussling. Next is Rhubarb (female, four-years-old,) who demonstrates her own form of zoomies. “Tusslemania” then begins as Dune (male, four-years-old,) shows his form with Kepler, Zuri, Gaia, and Zion. A brief petting interlude highlights some very pleased dogs. After the break, Zuri (female, three—years-old,) appears. She shows her form, ending with a brief pursuit of Kepler. Kepler (male, nine-years-old,) and Zion (male, four-years-old,) then hold a special tournament where they strut and bump each other until they are both rewarded with some human petting. Mia (female, seven-years-old,) shows her prowess especially in her chases of Gaia (female, two—years-old,) who closes the video by leading all the dogs in several chases. Starting temperature: 58°F|14.4°C
