Six hearty basenjis and their stalwart humans gathered on a sunny last-day-of-winter March morning in New York City’s Washington Square Park. On hand were Gaia (female, yearling,) Diego (male, two-years-old,) Higo (male, five-years-old,) Haru (female, eight-years-old,) Kepler (male, eight-years-old,) and Penny (female, nine-years-old.)
