Six basenjis gathered on a grudgingly-pleasant morning in Washington Square Park in New York City. When the sun came out and the wind abated, the morning action was pleasant. Making her first appearance was Xena (female, yearling,) a basenji/pit bull mix who had not played with other basenjis before. She towered over the others including Tumnus (male, yearling,) Bella Luna (female, two-years-old,) Frida (female, four-years-old,) Scout (female, eight-years-old,) and Kepler (male, ten-years-old.)
