With an early start to meet the oppressive heat nine basenjis came to run in Washington Square Park in New York City. Today’s featured dogs are two first-timers, puppy Roxy (female, six-months-old,) and Ruby (female, yearling.) Roxy is from just upstate (Putnam county) and Ruby is from very far upstate (Toronto, Canada.) The others running in the heat were Kobe (male, eight-months-old,) and yearlings G.G. (female,) and Oliver (male.) The young adults were two-year-olds Dante (male,) and Willow (female.) The adults were Dante (tri-male, four-years-old,) and Kepler (male, eight-years-old.) Starting temperature: 80°F|26.7°C
