Welcome Aria; Goodbye Watson - New York City Basenji Meetup - 9 October 2022
Eleven basenjis gathered on a cool, sunny autumnal day for lots of running in Washington Square Park in New York City. Today featured the premiere of Aria (female, ten-months-old,) who came from New Jersey (and earlier from Poland.) She was joined by regulars Bruno (male, yearling,) G.G. (female, yearling,) Pepper (female, yearling,) Roo (female, yearling,) Zuri (female, yearling,) Zion (male, three-years-old,) Dante (male, four-years-old,) Mia (female, five-years-old,) Calla (female, seven-years-old,) and Kepler (male, eight-years-old.) Starting temperature: 51°F|10.6°C
We also say goodbye to Watson, a senior member of our meetups, who attended eleven times in the past two years. He died last week at age fifteen. We remember him and his visits fondly.
