Nine Basenjis in Lots of February Action - New York City Basenji Meetup - 11 February 2024

Nine basenjis mixed and ran on a warmish February morning in Washington Square Park in New York City. Making her premiere was Bronte (female, sheltie/basenji mix, five-months-old.) She was joined by Monty (male, two-years-old,) who ran and tussled. Penny (female, ten-years-old,) was today’s senior dog and still often in motion. Kepler (male, nine-years-old,) and Sonny (male, three-years-old,) reignited a rivalry a few years old. Bruno (male, three-years-old,) made a brief appearance. Calla (female, nine-years-old,) today’s only black and white basenji, showed her moves. Scout (female, seven-years-old,) did the same, and her sister Mia (female, seven-years-old,) concluded with some vigorous running and tussling. Starting temperature: 45°F|7.2°C
