Spring Is Here, the Dogs Are Running - New York City Basenji Meetup - 4 June 2023

Eight basenjis gathered on another beautiful spring morning in New York City’s Washington Square Park. (Before the arrival of Canadian-fire air degradation.) The action started with Kepler (male, eight-years-old,) trying to catch Meadow (female, two-years-old.) Meadow then shows the full extent of her running prowess with an extended run around the park and away from many dogs. Next we see Fawkes (male, yearling,) take on two other dogs in an impressive run/tussle event. We explore the tri-colored dogs on hand: Uni (female, yearling,) Dante (male, five-years-old,) Diffa (male, trindle, five-years-old,) and Malcolm (male, eight-years-old.) We conclude with Apollo (male, eight-years-old,) who may be Malcolm’s littermate. Starting temperature: 59°F|15°C
